Perfect for slow-traveling honeymooners, the Masseria Torre Coccaro is a historic manor house dating from the 16th century. Originally built as a stronghold against the Turks, it has now been converted into a 5-star luxury resort. Surrounded by olive groves and almond trees, the Masseria Torre Coccaro offers its guests an authentic experience of rural Italy. The courtyard boasts a chapel built in 1730, as well as a vegetable garden, beautiful stone portico and an outdoor dining area.
All the rooms are furnished with antiques outfitted with all the amenities expected of a 5-star resort. Junior Suites have a stone fireplace, while Suites are situated in the tower and are distinguished by original barrel-vaulted ceilings and a balcony overlooking the sea.
The resort’s four restaurants serve locally sourced foods like Murgia lamb, fresh fish caught in the Adriatic waters, typical Apulian cheeses, and fruits and vegetables grown right on the estate. Elegant Mediterranean cuisine is served in the Egnathia and Le Palme restaurants, while there is poolside dining at the Cabana Restaurant and an oyster bar and sushi at the Coccaro Beach Club.
