About the hotel
Tucked away in a quiet residential area, the Hotel Principe di Villafranca combines all the modern amenities with Old World charm and warm hospitality. It was once the private residence of a prince and was completely renovated in 2010 in perfect Sicilian style.
The 34 spacious guestrooms and Junior Suites boast parquet floors, Sicilian marble in all the bathrooms, hand-embroidered bed linens and original artworks by the contemporary Sicilian painter, Simona Cavaglieri. Because they all face an inner courtyard, they are blissfully silent in a city that can sometimes be a bit noisy.
Restaurant Il Principe e l’Oste (open to the public) serves excellent, traditional Sicilian cuisine. Oriental rugs and antique sofas decorate the lobby, the adjoining reading room and the well-stocked bar. There is also an in-house fitness facility.

The 32 guestrooms are decorated in contemporary style, making use of unusual materials, such as resin, concrete and brushed steel; highlighted by the white background and the bold splashes of colour in paintings by contemporary local artist Simona Cavaglieri.
Single: French single bed.
Superior: Queen, king or twin bedded rooms
Deluxe: King double or twin bedded rooms, larger than the Superior rooms with additional amenities including tea/coffee making set.
Junior Suite: King double or twin bedded rooms. Design décor, antiques and original contemporary artworks. Tea & coffee making set. Bathroom with either design shower or whirlpool bath with hand shower.
