About the hotel
A whole island dedicated to creating the perfect luxury getaway: in a nutshell, this is the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa. Within Venice, but far from the street noises and the crowds, on a private island that is groomed in every detail -- from the olive groves to the seven restaurants, from the spa to the cooking school. And if you want to join the fun in the city, there is a 24/7 free shuttle that will have you in Piazza San Marco within 20 minutes.
The 266 rooms and suites designed by star architect Matteo Thun are waiting to become your own corner of comfort and luxury, enveloping you in a relaxed simplicity that comes from the neutral and white furniture in modern, streamlined shapes. Big windows and clever lighting fill the rooms with light, and many also have gorgeous views of the lagoon or the flower-filled hotel courtyard. All rooms are air-conditioned and have large flat-screen TVs with satellite, CNN, and HBO, as well as Wi-Fi and high speed Internet. For an extra luxury, several room types have their own private pool.
Called the Isola delle Rose (Island of Roses), it is planted with lovely gardens, olive and fruit trees. The resort boasts the largest spa in Venice, complete an indoor pool and hammam, as well as a rooftop open-air pool equipped with lounge chairs and a bar offering drinks and cicchetti (small Venetian snacks) with a spectacular view of Venice and the lagoon.
Breakfast is served in the Nourish Restaurant, while among the other restaurants to choose from are the stylish Il Dopolavoro, presenting innovative dishes from the Veneto region, accompanied by the finest Italian wines. The Sagra Rooftop Restaurant is inspired by the concept of the sagra, a traditional Italian street festival: it offers specialties from all over Italy. For causal dining, the family-friendly La Sagra is adjacent to the pool and focuses on international delicacies grilled over an open fire.
