This full day excursion from the Academia Barilla in Parma allows you to explore Verdi's world in and around Parma before enjoying the experience of Barilla and Emilia Romagna's cuisine.
Your morning begins bright and early, departing from the Academia Barilla in the center of Parma to visit the birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi at the CASA Natale Verdi Museum in Le Roncole. The morning continues with a stop at the 16th century Villa Pallavicino's Giuseppe Verdi National Museum, where you will experience the life and works of the great maestro.
The day continues with a visit to the culatello di zibello producer Massimo Spigaroli in Polesine Parmense and includes a tour of the caves where the meat is aged and a lunch is paired with local wines. Your day concludes in the late afternoon with a final stop at Academia Barilla, where you will tour the facilities, including the Gastronomic Library and Historical Menu collection, and finish with an aperitivo.
