Those of you who haven't gotten around to reading "Inferno," Dan Brown's newest blockbuster novel, fret not - you can now explore firsthand the author's secrets and symbols during this excursion to the sites described in his book. Throughout this half day shared tour, an English-speaking guide will illustrate professor Robert Langdon's elaborate path through Florence, sharing countless stories and insights along the way.
This half-day tour includes a visit to Florence's Duomo as well as the Baptistery with its gorgeous gold mosaic ceiling where you will decipher the many signs hidden within. Moving on, you'll enter Palazzo Vecchio inside which you'll closely examine Vasari's puzzling paintings in the Salone dei 500 (the Hall of 500), wander the Duke of Athen's secret passageway and be baffled by the Hall of Geographical Maps. At the end of the half-day tour, you will look into Dante's dead face (or more specifically, his death mask).
Participants on this tour are both Select Italy and non-Select Italy clients. Maximum number is 25; there is NO minimum. This tour is not suitable for people with impaired mobility.
