Explore the fashion and business capital of Italy with a visit to Leonardo's Last Supper the beautiful courtyards of Sforzesco Castle, and La Scala opera house.
In spite of its bustling, modern incarnation as the fashion and business capital of Italy, Milan offers enchanting treasures from its glorious past. Founded by the Gauls in the 4th century BC, the ancient city of Mediolanum was named after its strategic position in the middle of a fertile plain. From Roman domination to recent times, wealthy clients and important artists have left countless vestiges of their power and taste.
First stop on our itinerary is Leonardo's Last Supper, considered a highlight of Italian Renaissance painting due to its artistic, theological, and scientific implications. Please note: Last Supper ticket availability can be found here. If there are insufficient tickets for your party to visit it, you will visit the Cathedral's roof instead.
Next stop on this tour is the Sforzesco Castle (exteriors only) with its beautiful courtyards. It was the residence of the Sforza dukes in the 15th century and now houses the Sculpture Museum.
Downtown, the majestic Late Gothic Duomo enchants with its marble-encrusted facade and fabulous spires. The huge square in front of the Cathedral is flanked on the right by the porticoes of Vittorio Emanuele II Arcade.
The cast-iron and glass dome of the gallery shelters the luxurious cafes and shops within. The Arcade leads to La Scala opera house (exteriors only), probably the most famous theater in the world. Unless a rehearsal is taking place, it is possible to visit the wonderful neoclassical interior and museum, which displays unique memorabilia of the performing arts from all periods.

Entrance tickets to the "Last Supper" are NOT guaranteed when booking this tour. Whenever possible, your guide will go inside with you to tell you more about the painting. If sufficient tickets are not available, your guide will explain the painting outside and wait until you come out.
If "Last Supper" tickets are NOT available, you will visit the Cathedral's Roof. From a height of about 230 feet, a breathtaking panorama of the city is laid out at your feet (on clear days you can even see the Alps!). You will walk among a forest of 135 stone pinnacles with their wealth of carved decoration and remarkable statuary. Entrance tickets to the cathedral's roof are included in the total pricing.
If your group has 5 or more people, headsets will be required in order to enter the Duomo. The cost of the headset is Euro 5 per person and you will be asked to pay it on site.

Our tour guide was exceptional in every regard. He was personable, well-informed, efficient. His knowledge and obvious interest in the city and its cultural offerings was extensive. He helped us obtain more information from the tour center. We would gladly tour with him again.
Our guide was friendly, charming and very helpful. She met us at our train coming into Milan from Lugano and saw us safely off as we left, which was nice because we would likely have missed our train otherwise. She was knowledgable about Milan's history and even added a few stops to our itinerary that we saw walking past. She related well to our teenagers. Milan is definitely worth spending a half day to see the highlights. We were very pleased with our tour and would definitely refer our guide to others.
Our guide Pauola met us at our hotel and we took subway to Duomo square. We enjoyed her tour very much. She gave just the right amount of history and we saw alot of the very things we took the tour to see. She was wonderful and we recommend this tour to anyone interested in a relatively quick tour of Milano on limited time like ourselves. The Duomo, Galleria,La Scala,Last Supper, Sforezco Castle were all enjoyed by us and Pauola was fantastic.
