The Cinque Terre is an UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its incredible beauty: cliffs dotted with small medieval towns and vineyards clinging to the steep rock, sparkling blue sea, and historic buildings. This small group tour, departing from and returning to the Florence city center, offers a convenient and comfortable way to discover the colors and flavors of the Cinque Terre in just one day. An air-conditioned minivan will be your main mode of transport, and you also will get the chance to experience the area by train, boat, and on foot.
You will visit each of the five beautiful villages that have made this area world famous: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso, and learn about their history, food and wine, along with a little non-strenuous hiking in the gorgeous National Park. By switching from the minivan to the train to a boat (weather permitting) to walking high up on the cliffs, you will get to experience the area from every vantage point, with many opportunities for taking pictures to capture this wonderful day.
An authentic lunch of local seafood and wine completes your full immersion in the area. By the end of the day, you will realize that it is the interplay between the landscape and its people that is the defining characteristic of the incomparable Cinque Terre.
Please note that participants of this tour are both Select Italy and non-Select Italy clients. Maximum number of participants is 16; there is NO minimum.
The tour will operate rain or shine. In case of unfavorable sea conditions, the boat ride will be replaced by train or minivan.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary in Italy. The day trip to Cinque Terre was definitely one of our favorite tours. Our meeting spot was close to our hotel, the Mercedes mini van was more like a mini coach bus - spacious well air conditioned. We met two other great couples and had a wonderful day. Our guide and driver were excellent. The tour itself was very well planned with some walking, train ride, lunch in a darling italian cafe, free time for shopping and exploring and a lovely boat ride back to our van. The sites were amazing and we would definitely like to go back someday and spend some time on the beach!
