Right on the picturesque central square of the lovely town of Squinzano, in the heart of the Salento region only 10 miles from Lecce, you can learn to cook an authentic Apulian meal while enjoying local wines and listening to music. The lesson starts with an aperitivo consisting of wine, taralli, and olives - a typical welcome for guests at any house in Puglia.
Catering to your experience level, an English-speaking cook will teach you, how to prepare delicious regional dishes like the bread called pizza leccesi, orecchiette pasta with seasonal vegetables, and meatballs with cheese in Negroamaro wine sauce. The four-course menu can be customized to any dietary restrictions or food preferences.
During the afternoon, you will also get to taste six local wines: a white, a rose', two Negroamaro, a Salice Salentino, and a Primitivo. At the end of the class, you will sit down with your fellow students and enjoy the meal you prepared - the apron and the recipes you made in the class are yours to keep as souvenirs of this perfect day in Puglia!
