The eastern shore of Lake Garda is dotted with its characteristic towns that boast ancient castles, medieval churches, and Venetian-style houses. Also known for the beauty of its olive groves and orderly vineyards belonging to the Bardolino, Lugana, and Custoza DOC wine areas, on this half-day private excursion you will visit two wineries to see how they make the 'Nectar of Bacchus.'
Departing from and returning to your hotel in Verona, you will be driven through Peschiera del Garda, a historic lakeside town, and then proceed into the hills where grape vines thrive. During a walk through the vineyards at two traditional wineries, you will hear all about local farming techniques, and visit the production facilities and barrel cellar.
Each winery will offer a tasting of four of the most characteristic wines of this region including red Bardolino and white and rose' wines such as Chiaretto and Chiaretto spumantizzato. At one of the wineries the tasting will be accompanied by finger foods like cheeses, cold cuts, and a delicious dessert. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the stunningly beautiful wine region of Lake Garda while tasting its most famous products.
