My friend is the chocolate fan and I love wine and chocolate so this tour seemed tailor made for us. Tony and his wife at the Ponte Vecchio Entoca gave us breads, olives oils, balsamic vinegars to taste along with the wine and chocolates. It was a wonderful respite for our busy itinerary.
We took a group of university students over Spring Break to Florence and decided to do this tasting. Our main reason for this tasting was for the chocolate, but once there we forgot all about it, because the wine tasting and information on the wines of Italy were amazing. We had already done a number of tastings prior to this one and we all agreed this was hands down the best tasting we had. If you are just learning about wines or are an experienced wine taster you will enjoy this place. The owner is both knowledgeable and entertaining, we can't express how pleased we were with this visit.
This was one of our favourite experiences in Florence. Get away from the hustle and bustle of people, sit and enjoy wine, cheese, bread, and olive oil. Our host was very knowledgeable on wine, food and the region. I would recommend this tasting to everyone!
