La Traviata at St Paul Within the Walls
Alana (Upper Mt Gravatt, QLD
I was a bit skeptical when I saw the space the opera was in, having only experienced bigger stage productions before, however I loved everything from start to finish. The performance was incredible and there was something special about being so close to the stage and seeing the faces of the performers, and also being able to watch the orchestra. Because of the seating it was a bit annoying at times trying to see around people's heads in front of me, but that was my only real "issue". I would happily come back here to watch another Opera next time I'm in Rome. This was a beautifully done Opera and I recommended it to other people I met in Rome.
La Traviata at Teatro Salone Margherita
Mike Tarant (Melbourne, VIC
Totally delightful experience! Didn't have the highest expectation of this production, but was happily surprised. It was intimate and charming and the singing was really good.
I would recommend this opera company to anyone who loves opera (even those who are regular attendees at the major opera houses of the world).

Service and tickets by Select Italy were very good and on time. The opera was very well executed and a great experience. The service and the dinner at the Salone Margherita were magnificent, much beyond my expectations. I enthusiastically recommend it.
Beautiful Arias in a Wonderful Setting
JJS (Bronx, NY
The performances were heartfelt and the setting of St. Paul's Inside the Walls, was enchanting. This is an intimate performance of famous arias where the performers really enjoyed each other and it connected with the audience in a big way! Bravo!
The past comes alive in Rome with this series of concerts and fully staged operas. Very popular with international travelers, the concerts feature the famous orchestra "I Virtuosi dell'opera di Roma," which was founded in 1999 by the cultural association Musica&Musica. It is recognized as the first example of a fully private concert organization unfunded by public money. The orchestra consists of accomplished musicians trained in the finest Italian conservatories and professional singers from all over the world.
Led from the beginning by Maestro Adriano Melchiorre, famous international director, the orchestra is recognized across Italy and Europe. Since 2001, the main concert season of the orchestra of "I Virtuosi dell'opera di Roma" is in Rome, the world capital of "bel canto." Every year, thousands of spectators attend the orchestra's opera programs and are delighted by the Italian spirit and culture presented in each performance.
The orchestra of "I Virtuosi dell'opera di Roma" routinely perform their concerts in the prestigious Teatro Salone Margherita, a beautiful theater that has been in the heart of Rome since at 1898. One of the most unique traditions of the theater is the pasta buffet offered to guests. This tradition has been maintained to this day, and guests can indulge in a small serving of pasta either before the show or during the break on the ground floor.
