This guided tour lasts one hour 15 minutes and affords privileged insight into rooms and passageways not normally accessible to the public. The route taken is often a restricted one, by its very nature. There are numerous steps and small inclines, often quite steep, and many of the passages are small and tight. For these reasons the tour is not suitable for children under the age of six, for pregnant women or for the disabled.
Participants of this tour are both Select Italy and non-Select Italy clients; maximum number of participants is 25.
The Secret Itineraries Tour has become so popular among tourists that entrances are now restricted. If you wish to take this amazing tour, you must make reservations in advance.
You are allowed to stay in the Doge's Palace for as long as you like after the tour to independently visit the public areas of the museum.
The Secret Itineraries Tour is approximately 75 minutes and includes parts of the palace which are not visible with the standard ticket.
The Doge's Palace is closed on December 25 and January 1.
The Doge's Palace is located in San Marco Square immediately adjacent to the San Marco Basilica.
The Doge's Palace is not wheelchair accessible.

It was nice to get historical information on the Doge, and to have the ability to see the offices and cells that are not normally available to the public.
Was her name Christiana? I'm not sure. Please look her up and tell her that SHE is what made the tour come alive. She was knowledgeable and personable and I can't thank her enough for the experience she gave to my family.
The tour itself was fascinating and so happy we booked it.
I so enjoyed this tour - lots of interesting back rooms and history - be prepared for a lot of stairs - from bottom to top! - But so worth it!
Best way to organise in advance. Well worth doing the secret itineraries.
