Please note that the time you select when checking out corresponds to the entrance time for your independent visit of the Colosseum. While you will have an advance reservation, due to recent changes in security rules, you will be required to go through a security check prior to entering the Colosseum's ticketing area. The average wait time for this line is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Select Italy strongly advises that you arrive at least 1 hour and 30 minutes in advance of your reservation time, as there is no way to skip this security line.
Entrance Tickets to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill have no specific entrance time and can be used to enter whenever you like. The ticket for the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill can be used either on the day you visit the Colosseum or the day after. ONE entrance (only) to each site.
Note that the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum are considered one site, so if you visit only one and then exit, you will not be allowed re-entry to visit the other.
If you have a Colosseum reservation later in the day, you can choose to pick up your tickets early and visit the Forum and Palatine Hill prior to returning in time to the Colosseum for your advanced reservation. This will require you to wait in the security line a second time.
The Colosseum is wheelchair accessible, however access in the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill may be restrictive due to unpaved pathways.
Plan to spend at least half a day in the Colosseum neighborhood. In addition to visiting the Colosseum and Roman Forum, you may wish to visit the Palatine Hill, where Rome's illustrious patricians dwelled.
The Colosseum and Roman Forum are closed on December 25, January 1 and May 1.
Reservation requests for entrance tickets generally can be confirmed in one business day. If you place your order on Friday, confirmation will not be available until Monday.
The Colosseum is located in the southern part of Rome's center and has its own Metro stop on the B line of the subway.
Entrance to the Colosseum & Roman Forum is free for all children who are under 18 years of age; however a mandatory reservation is required.

Lines to the attractions in Italy, especially in Rome can get quite long. Recommend using this service as it offers skip the line and options for various dates and tours. Select Italy also processed the tickets fairly quick. Will definitely use this service again for booking next time.
We purchased tickets from Select Italy to several venues in Italy before our recent trip: Colosseum and Roman Forum, Vatican Museum in Rome, and Uffizi and Accademia in Florence. We were so happy we did! Seeing the lines that we were able to skip was really satisfying. Service of Select Italy was perfect, all the vouchers were exchanged for tickets with no problem.
Skipping the line during the summer is essential to not being out in the open during the hottest parts of the day as there is no shade and the queue is huge.
Especially for Colosseum, there is a huge line just to buy tickets in addition to entering the Colosseum, which took about good 30 minutes for us to get in. Without the skip-the-line ticket, we should have spent more than 1 hour. I would say this is almost a must to have ticket in advance.
There's no shade - skip the line, beat the heat. This service works great!
