Book the famous Franchetti Gallery tickets and see the Golden House which sits on the Grand Canal.
Named for its original gold-detailed facade, the Ca' d'Oro (Golden House) is a jewel of Gothic palace architecture on the Grand Canal. It was designed for the Contarini family in 1421 by Giovanni and Bartolemeo Bon, the same architects who worked on the Doge's Palace.
Without the gilding, the three levels of tracery arches and merlons on the facade look like delicate lace, making the Ca' d'Oro one of the most striking and recognizable palaces on the Grand Canal. The wealthy art collector, Baron Giorgio Franchetti, lived here in the late 19th century and upon his death, he bequeathed the restored palace and his personal art collection to the Italian state.
Now known as the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti, the museum has retained the intimate character of a private collection. It displays precious paintings and sculpture by Giorgione, Andrea Mantegna, Bernini, Giambologna and Van Dyck, among others.
You must be at the museum 20 minutes before your scheduled entrance time to redeem your tickets.

We enjoyed our experience although reservations didn't seem necessary as there was no line at that time of the day.
The service was ok but Nobody at select italy told me that one ticket was neccesary to get in to many museums in venice. And I bought two tickets one for for Ca' D'Oro (Venice) and the other for Ca' Rezzonico (Venice).
This multi-museum ticket is offered on our website as the Venice Civic Museums Pass.
Getting the tickets thru Select Itay was great but the staff at the museum left a lot to be desired. Remember to look for the entry on a side street as it's easy to miss.
