Wine Bar/Enoteca/Brew Pub
via degli Adelardi, 11
For a glass of wine or a light lunch in a historic setting, go to Al Brindisi right next to the Duomo. The owner, Federico Pellegrini, offers tasting menus in honor of such luminaries as Benvenuto Cellini, Ludovico Ariosto, Tiziano Vecellio and Torquato Tasso, all of whom were guests of this osteria. It bills itself as "the world's oldest inn" and dates back to 1435; the original name was Osteria del Chiuchilino (from "ciuc," meaning drunk!).
