Helpful Hints
Because of the limited number of visitors allowed at this site, there is no low season for the Last Supper. Reservations are required year-round.
If you do not prepurchase tickets, you have very little chance of being admitted to view the fresco. Many people do wait outside the church, and are only awarded tickets if someone fails to show for their reserved entrance.
The Last Supper allows reserved entrances every 15 minutes from 8:15 am to 6:30 pm. The museum officially closes at 6:45 pm.
You are allowed to stay in the Last Supper room for only 15 minutes.
The Last Supper is closed every Monday as well as December 25, January 1 and May 1.
Once tickets are released, reservation requests for this museum generally can be confirmed in two business days. If you place your order on Friday, confirmation will not be available until Tuesday. Tickets are generally released 4 months in advance. If you are placing your order more than 4 months in advance, you may receive a notification that your order is pending ticket release.
The Last Supper is located in an annex to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, approximately 5 minutes away from the train station by taxi or a 15 minute walk from the Duomo. To get to Santa Maria delle Grazie by mass transit, take the Metro Red line to Conciliazione or the Green line to Cadorna.
Children under the age of 5 do not require a ticket. There is no discounted ticket for older children or seniors.
The Last Supper is wheelchair accessible.
You should purchase tickets at least 3 months ahead, but if you are traveling soon, don't be afraid to try. If tickets aren't available you will not be charged.

After 20 years of extensive restoration work, Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece The Last Supper was reopened to the public in 1999. Leonardo's experiments with fresco techniques as well as years of neglect had left The Last Supper in severe need of restoration. To protect this unique work, only a small number of visitors are allowed to view the fresco at one time. In this amazing painting, the visitor can see intimately how Leonard painted the emotional moment of Christ's declaration, with the unique response of each of the disciples. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to view an iconic work of Western Art.
The "Last Supper" has limited availability in February 2010. Select Italy is happy to accept orders for March and beyond, however tickets after February have not yet been released. As always, there is a very high demand for tickets and the confirmation is not guaranteed. Requests are processed in the order they are received. Read FAQs | Read Terms and Condition
