We're finally here! After enjoying our honeymoon suite for an hour (or two), our mission could best be described as:
Shopper's Paradise! Let's hit the shops and start melting the credit cards.
Culinary Ecstasy! We have a long list of wine and food demands and we want to start right away!
Culture Vultures! We'll soak up the museums and architecture like a sponge. Art and history books make up half of our luggage!
That's Amore! Italy's museums and ruins will still be there tomorrow. Until then, we splurged on the honeymoon suite with one idea in mind...
The Great Outdoors! Let's lace up those hiking shoes and get out there! We're ready to tackle Italy's roughest terrain.

Now that we've revved up our bodies and souls, it's time for sightseeing. We absolutely can't miss:
All of the history and passion Italy is so famous for. Gladiators! Drama! Fashion! So much to see, so little time!
Miles of rolling countryside, pristine vineyards and small towns on a sunny afternoon. What could be more relaxing?
Centuries-old cobblestones under our feet, hand-painted frescoes in gorgeous palaces, the ricochet of voices along ancient alleys. We're shivering with excitement!
We'll leave all that running around to the students and tour groups. The only sights we want to see are soft white sand and deep blue sea.
The un-beaten path. We are on a mission - we want to see no other tourist and return with discoveries that will amaze our friends back home.

On our honeymoon, the hotel is so much more than a roof over our heads. Our kind of place is:
Super-stylish and in the center of all of the action. Who needs to sleep when the nightclubs are open?
Our own personal spa retreat. After planning our wedding, we've earned some serious pampering and chill-out time.
A palace fit for a king and queen. We want antique furniture, silk curtains and a true old-world Italian atmosphere.
Something cozy and adorable. A little "rough around the edges" is what we're going for. Isn't Italy all about a homey atmosphere?
Clean and basic. Our days will be spent outdoors - "no frills" for our base camp, as long as the bed's comfortable and inviting.

We can't wait to sample Italy's most famous exports - the food and wine! We've been daydreaming about the perfect meal...
A big helping of bucatini all'amatriciana (a zesty plate of pasta with pancetta and tomato sauce) and then a stroll to get some of that famous gelato. Yum!
Perfectly grilled meats from the fireplace and a hearty bottle of Chianti.
A couple of Bellinis to start, and then we'll dive into as many seafood delicacies as we can handle.
What else but a pizza? We're on a quest to decide what type of pizza is best: New York, Chicago or the traditional Italian-style.
Plenty of pasta. Carbs are our friends. Got to keep our energy up for all of our honeymoon activities!

Souvenirs are a MUST! We may even bring something home for friends and family, if they're lucky! Our honeymoon splurges will be:
The signature style of Italy - Prada, Fendi, Gucci... we'll take them all!
The ingredients for that pasta dish we both swooned over at the first dinner of our honeymoon. We want olive oil, truffles and other authentic treats on own table.
Serious works of art - small or large, we're collecting visual memories to decorate our new lives together.
Hand-made leather sandals, colorful ceramics, turquoise jewelry - anything that reminds us of the Italian seaside.
Romantic reminders of our time in Italy - pottery, carved marble pieces, and a CD of old Italian love songs. We'll probably pick up a few seashells along the way too!

We were sad to say arrivederci to Italy but we return in spirit whenever we want. We just flip through our honeymoon photo album! The gorgeous backdrop in each photo is:
Rushing water in famous fountains, awesome monuments and the blur of scooters zipping by.
Emerald green hills dotted with picturesque little hamlets and the vineyards where we drank the best wine of our lives. So beautiful!
A twinkling piazza, misty little streets and charming bridges - all of it was like something out of a storybook!
The sun setting on a quiet azure sea - pure peace and relaxation.
The majestic Italian Alps and a view that goes on forever.
