This tour is a perfect combination of culinary delights, art and culture for the busy traveler trying to get a taste of Chianti in a short amount of time. Leaving Florence, we’ll drive along the famous Chianti Classico Wine Route: we’ll visit Casa Emma or Montagliari for our first wine tasting experience. A few miles ahead further and we will have reached the small town of Greve, capital of the region and home of Da Verrazzano, founder of the Hudson Bay. After visiting the idyllic central piazza, visit the famous butcher Falorni who sells all kinds of cured meats. Next stop will be at the Cantine Sociali, a huge wine cellar where you will have a chance to taste some of the wines that have made this region so famous. We will also stop at Montefioralle, a small village above Greve, which still preserves its medieval architectural flavor. Then after another scenic trip through the rolling hills of Chianti you’ll return to your hotel in Florence. This excursion can be scheduled for a morning or afternoon.
