About This Service This tour offers an entertaining and informative look at Florence from a child’s point of view. The focus of this walking tour is the animals — both ferocious and friendly — that populate the city’s historic center. Meet the golden lion which stands guard over City Hall, the rearing horse being shod by a medieval blacksmith at Orsanmichele and the exotic camels and leopards that animate the charming, fairytale-like fresco of the "Journey of the Magi" in the Medici-Riccardi Palace. Also, be sure to pet the nose of the wild pig that crouches outside the Straw Market so you will come back to Florence again! The tour includes a visit to the colorful food market at San Lorenzo and a stop for gelato.
