We met our chef at the Piazza Garibaldi in the morning, although there was some confusion as to whether we would meet at our hotel instead. She was delightful and spoke perfect English and with our small amount of Italian background we got on quite well. We went to the market and she selected the menu which was quite good and appropriate. Afterward, we went to her home where we commenced to make our meal. The teaching was good and the food delicious. She had a print out with the recipes with English measurements as compared to metric. We had fun and ate well. It was one of the highlights of the trip. The only suggestion would be price. My wife was the primary beneficiary. As she does not speak much Italian and was a little intimidated at first, I went along. She did most of the cooking and learned the most. I would suggest that after one initiation fee, subsequent members of the party have a reduced cost. Otherwise, a very positive and fun experience.
