1. BOOKING POLICIES AND CONDITIONS
In providing customers with the choice of premier Musical & Cultural events, SELECT ITALY
TM must factor in the additional costs involved with: any pre-booking fees charged by the suppliers in addition to the nominal cost of the ticket [and not printed on the ticket face value]; maintenance of an up-to-date calendar of events; customer service; administrative order processing; and Euro/US$ exchange rate fluctuations. Depending on the source, pre-purchase complexity and the type of event, Select Italy’s cost for tickets may consequently be up to 25% higher than the actual total cost of the ticket. In cases where “Special Booking Terms & Conditions” apply, Select Italy’s added cost may be higher than 25%.
Due to a varying exchange rate and additional fees that may be charged by the theatre, prices for chosen performances are subject to change at any time before confirmation. Should the actual price exceed your selection by more than $10.00 per ticket, you will be contacted by Select Italy for your approval, prior to finalizing your order.
Italian theatres reserve the right to change their program without notice and, in most cases, without advance notice to Select Italy. While every effort on our part is made to inform clients promptly about unexpected changes of schedules, SELECT ITALY
TM cannot be responsible for any amendments or cancellations made by the Italian theatres due to unforeseen circumstances. These may include, but are not limited to, revision of program time, cancellation due to strike or poor weather, and substitutions of performers or programs, etc. Once tickets are confirmed, they are completely non-refundable and non-transferable.
Our website pricing does not guarantee actual availability of tickets. Should your chosen ticket not be available, you will be contacted with alternate seating (if available). Alternate seating will not be confirmed without your approval.
SELECT ITALY
TM acts as an agent for carefully selected venues, all of which are independently owned and managed. SELECT ITALY
TM shall not become liable for any personal injury, property damage, accident, delay, inconvenience, or any other irregularity due to wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts or omission on the part of the venues with whom arrangements are made. The Client by engaging SELECT ITALY
TM and making full payment for the specified reservations/tickets, agrees to hold SELECT ITALY
TM blameless in making arrangements on her/his behalf and that any claim(s) of damage, refund(s) or credit(s) after arrival shall be sought directly from the venue(s).
The Music and Cultural Event advance ticketing guarantees entrance to a specific event or performance. The cost includes the Reservation fees, the SELECT ITALY
TM service fees, and the entrance ticket.
Select Italy accepts no responsibility for your displeasure of confirmed seating within a given category, cancellation or change made by the theatre for any reason [ie. change of venue, delay of performance, revision of date, time, program or performers/conductor, etc…].
In most cases, you will be required to pick up your tickets directly at the theatre box office on the date of the event, by showing the Voucher and passport. SELECT ITALY
TM will alert you if tickets can be delivered to your shipping address or Italian hotel prior to the event. Additional shipping charges may apply.
SELECT ITALY
TM will act as your representative for the purchase and securing of the requested tickets within the mentioned price range. By accepting the terms and conditions, you authorize SELECT ITALY
TM to complete any purchase within the indicated terms and limits as soon as possible and that any purchase made on your behalf is final and non-refundable.
2. CANCELLATION POLICY
Confirmed tickets are totally non-refundable and non-transferable. Select Italy cannot cancel or exchange tickets for any reason.
All theatres reserve the right to make any revisions or cancellations of the program deemed necessary. Should a performance be cancelled by the theatre for any reason, a cash refund on the face value of the ticket only may be available direct from the box office on the date of the cancelled performance. You may also be able to exchange your tickets for another date within the production run. It is your responsibility to obtain refunds (if made available by the theatre) directly from the box office on the date of the performance or within the box office’s indicated period of time for refunds. No refund will be offered for additional booking fees or processing fees added by SELECT ITALY
TM.
3. SPECIAL BOOKING POLICY
If a theater is sold out of tickets for your preferred date, Select Italy will obtain your tickets through a reputable ticket broker, which determines its own prices on tickets. Tickets will be delivered to your hotel on the date of your chosen performance. Select Italy will not be held responsible for the policies of the broker, errors made by the broker, delay in delivery of tickets by the broker, or cancellation/modification of the performance made by the theatre itself for any reason.
The price listed on Select Italy’s website includes: actual ticket cost and theatre’s booking fee, broker’s added fee and Select Italy’s added processing fee of up to 25%. The amount to be charged to you will be higher than the face value of the ticket. Select Italy does not know the face value of the ticket to be reserved when booking tickets through a broker, as many ticket prices fall within the broker’s specified ticket categories.
Ticket brokers usually break their tickets into fewer categories than normal theater seating plans. For Teatro alla Scala, the broker has the following categories: Category 1 = Main Floor [any row, any location] OR Front Seats in a Box [any box on any level]; Category 2 = 1st or 2nd Galleries, First row [any location in either gallery, central or lateral]. In some cases, additional box seats may be offered at a different cost. We cannot guarantee a specific location within your selected category, only the category itself. Tickets confirmed within each of the categories may have different face values. Obtaining tickets through special booking does not guarantee a “good seat” only a seat for the requested performance.
The actual seat numbers may not be known until just before the performance. Every effort will be made to indicate specific seat numbers to you prior to the performance. In some cases it may occur that seats are not known until you receive the tickets. Tickets cannot be modified or cancelled for any reason after they have been confirmed.
For La Scala tickets, ticket delivery to your hotel/address in Milan is necessary. You must indicate your hotel name, address, telephone number, date of arrival and name on booking in order to reserve tickets. If you will not have a confirmed address in central Milan, tickets cannot be reserved for you through the broker. Ticket delivery generally occurs by 12:00 noon on the date of performance. In some cases, delivery may be delayed. Tickets cannot be delivered outside of Milan. If your Milan address information changes, you must alert Select Italy staff in writing at least 3 business days before the performance to ensure proper ticket delivery. If the hotel does not recognize your name as a guest, they may not accept the tickets you may not be able to receive them. They cannot be left with the theatre.
