Croatia's Dalmatian Coast Cruise
Croatia's Dalmatian Coast CruiseThe marvelous Dalmatian Coast, situated where the Mediterranean and central Europe meet, can be defined as one of the last paradises not yet ruined by mass tourism. Once land of the ancient Greeks, of the Roman and Byzantine emperors, and of Venetian doges and Ottoman caliphs, this exquisite coastline, dotted with over 1,000 little islands, is rich in history and treasures waiting to be discovered. Undoubtedly the best way to admire this enchanting seascape and to explore the well-preserved medieval towns along the coast is to go on a cruise! Ours is not a big commercial cruise ship that holds thousands of tourists but the "Corinthian", an exclusive private yacht-like vessel that accommodates a maximum of 100 guests in 50 spacious suites, 16 of which have a private balcony. Among the yacht's facilities are two lounges, a restaurant, an outdoor cafe, a library, a gym, a spa, an infirmary, an outdoor Jacuzzi and a spacious open-deck area for relaxing and sunbathing. Operating from Venice to Dubrovnik, the vessel will cross the Adriatic Sea and cruise along the glorious coastline of Croatia and Montenegro. The journey lasts eight days, with departure from Venice or from Dubrovnik. The carefully designed itinerary includes some of the most fabulous destinations on the Dalmatian coast such as Hvar, Split, the Kornati archipelago, Vis and the Lastovo islands and Kotor, among other unique places. One of the advantages of sailing on the "Corinthian" is that you will be able to stop at small, unspoiled ports and admire highlights that are usually inaccessible to larger cruise ships. The "Corinthian" can anchor in secluded bays for swimming and snorkeling, and remain berthed until late in some ports so that passengers can enjoy the local nightlife. All meals and several entertaining onboard activities are included in this exclusive package. Throughout the cruise, organized shore excursions are planned; it is also possible to arrange them on your own. Additionally, a fleet of bikes and kayaks is available at no additional cost, allowing passengers to go on self-guided excursions along country roads, or to paddle through the turquoise waters of Croatia and Montenegro.

Wine Roads of Italy: The Allegrini Experience
Wine Roads of Italy: The Allegrini ExperiencePolished elegance and superior quality define that which is the Allegrini family's oenological reign. As pioneers Veneto wine making since the 16th century, the family's advancement in research and innovation coupled with a fierce commitment to the indigenous grapes of the region has resulted in year after year of spectacular wines whose praises are only superseded by their taste. The family's estate in Veneto and join-ventures with Leonardo Lo Cascio in Tuscany are woven into this highly customized eight-day experience, carefully tailored to bring the refined flavors of Allegrini in the glass to life. Your experience begins with exploring and tasting La Serenissima from the five-star Danieli, from the hotel's opened Wine Suite, depths of the doge's palace to the nooks of Venice's cicchetti bars. The following stay in Verona at Allegrini family's luxury apartment, located in the historical center of Verona, includes a private afternoon tour of the city and dinner reservations at the critically acclaimed Antico Bottega del Vino. Frequented by celebrated authors, poets, and artists, this self-proclaimed "Temple of Wine" boasts a world-famous wine cellar and one the most extensive wine lists in Italy. A visit to Allegrini's acclaimed Palazzo della Torre Estate, dedicated to traditional Veneto grapes such as Corvina, Rondinella, and Mollinaro, reveals how the family implements the age-old appassimento technique while using state-of-the-art technologies to create their award-winning wines. A tasting and lunch follows at the on-site Villa della Torre, a 16th-century jewel of the Italian Renaissance. Arrival in Tuscany at the wine resort Castello di Casole allows you for relaxing pause before venturing on a two-day experience of Tuscan wine country, beginning with a trip to Montalcino's San Polo Estate and the tasting of its elegant expression of the Sangiovese grape. The grounds are a tribute to the natural beauty of the landscape, and use only environmentally friendly practices in their cultivation, harvesting, and vinification of grapes. The final day begins with a scenic drive from the Castello through an unspoiled Tuscan landscape to the coastal region of Bolgheri, where the tesoro, "treasure" of Bolgheri is evident in the three distinct plots of land at the Poggio al Tesoro Estate with the many excellent expressions of international varieties.
